Ask
the Virtual Assistant
Contemplating
launching your own Virtual Assistance practice? Good for you and beware! Working
virtually is a tough gig, and launching a business in this field should not
be taken lightly.
There are so
many things to consider when launching any business, but where to start? My
recommendation is to approach and spend time with a successful Virtual Assistant
whom you admire and ask her to coach or
mentor you.
Of course, she's not going to give the store away
for free, and you shouldn't expect her to do so. You're not looking
to reinvent the wheel; instead, you're looking to get a leg up, soak up the
advice and guidance, and establish a solid foundation for your business plans.
Living and breathing
the “virtual
business life” takes a lot of moxie, and I've got big-time respect
for those of you who've been bitten by the entrepreneurial bug and choose
to make a go of this. Nevertheless, I want you to be smart about
working in this field. Do your research (and more, even when
you think you know everything), network with fellow Virtual Assistants
and get your business off to a very good and healthy start.
