Dictionary.com defines "team" as:

a number of persons associated in some joint action

And "teamwork" as:

cooperative or coordinated effort on the part of a group of persons acting together as a team or in the interests of a common cause

Having a team in place is very important in the big bad world of business. Even more important, you've got to have your team acting as one tight cohesive unit. The sense of teamwork is what brought you here today, so read on for more.

I want to make you aware of my business goals which can be summed up in two words: World Domination! Virtual Assistance is here and now, it's relevant, and it's one of the things business owners need to round out their team.  Small Business Owners and entrepreneurs of every make and model need to outsource, right now. They need knowledgeable and geeky go-getter Virtual Assistants with whom they can partner. They need a team and teamwork to make their biggest, baddest and wildest business dreams a reality.

Some of you know me very well, and some of you have never heard of me. For the record, please be aware of the following:

  • I am very aggressive.

  • I am not afraid of the phone.

  • I am a full-time Virtual Assistant and have been so since January 2000.

  • I want my Virtual Assistance firm to be the 1st with $1,000,000.00 in billings in a calendar year.

  • I am a Small Business Owner.

  • I am an Entrepreneur.

  • I think stratospheric, I think wild, and most important, I put my thoughts into action.

  • In January and February 2008, I brought on 20 new clients each month.  March, April and May of this year saw approximately 10 new clients each month, and June saw 22 new clients join the DavisVA.com team.

  • The last ego search of Google's "virtual assistant" saw me on page 1 and the 1st VA company.

Now, let's talk about you for a few minutes! Why are you in the Virtual Assistance industry? What are your goals? What skills to pay the bills and personality traits do you bring to the table? How long have you been in business? Talk to me about all of these questions, and anything else you want to share with me.

Join the DavisVA.com Team!

Here are some of the skill sets and personality traits I'm seeking:

Personality Traits

  • Honesty, ethics, integrity and a superb work ethic

  • You play as hard as you work ... harder, in fact

  • You're an entrepreneur at heart

  • Your family is the most important aspect of your life

  • You're not phone-phobic

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • You always strive to be your best, but own your mistakes and learn from them

  • You understand that the Client-VA partnership is just that, a Partnership

  • You're into technology and easily learn new systems

Skill Sets

  • Must know HTML Basics; I'll train you if you don't know the basics of coding.

  • 1shoppingcart.com and aWeber.com. You must know at least one of the systems to be considered for an Associate position.

  • The hardcore administrative stuff business owners need to outsource, including appointment setting, calendar management, e-mail and v-mail management, etc. Refer to the Virtual Services page on my website for more examples.

  • Blog administration, meaning adding posts and applying basic HTML coding where necessary. Experience with Blogger, Typepad and/or WordPress is always helpful, but can be taught.

  • Website updates via Adobe Contribute, Dreamweaver or FrontPage, so you must own these software packages.  (Clients need their shopping cart items, Webinars, Teleseminars, etc., added to their websites and blogs.)

  • Article Marketing.  I'll show you the best sites.

  • E-newsletters/e-zines using Constant Contact, 1shoppingcart.com, aWeber, EzineDirector, Webvalence, etc.

  • Data entry, word processing, etc.

  • Internet research

  • Travel arrangements

  • Event planning for small events

  • CRM via Basecamp, Infusion, TrackVia, salesforce.com, etc.

I'm not a web developer, nor am I a bookkeeper. When prospects come through my pipeline in need of these services, I send them very specific referrals in these niches. My business model is 75%-25%, administrative to technical, and it's the "administrative" Virtual Assistants I'm looking to add to my team. Obviously, you must possess some level of what I call "technical" ability and know some HTML, know 1shoppingcart.com, blogging, etc. If you're the right candidate, I'm willing to train you in these systems at a significantly lower price than what I normally charge.

What can Lori offer me?

Very good question!

  • A payout structure which is extraordinarily fair to both parties, and ensures you keep more of the money you earn in your pocket.  Unlike those other VA companies which charge admission fees, monthly fees, and so on.

  • I want to ensure you're always doing your best, and that you have the tools you need to succeed.

  • I will always be available to you to answer questions and to mentor you, should you so desire.

  • I want to help you achieve your business goals.

  • I want to ensure you're exposed to new technologies, and that you grow your Virtual Assistance practice.
