Davis Virtual Assistants:  Strategic Partners

(
aka People I Dig and People You Need to Know)

Just like you, I am constantly thinking of different ways to improve my business. How do I remain competitive in my niche, and what partnerships can I form to help make Davis Virtual Assistants a one-stop-shop? To this end, I'm very pleased to announce DavisVA's Strategic Partners! The folks below are friends, trusted and professional colleagues and most important, very good at what they do. When you contact them, tell 'em Lori sent you!

Copywriting

Dina Giolitto, Copywriting Consultant

I met Dina in 2004, when we both worked on the Jinglegram.com project. One of the things I admire most about Dina is her dedication to her craft - she loves what she does and it truly shows in her work. She's smart, funny, quick on her feet and frankly, the best copywriting consultant. Give her the concepts and details of your product or business, tell her your target market and the goals you want to achieve, and watch her work. I really enjoy working with her and I know you will, too!

Business Startup

William Keyser says it all on his home page:

WorkSavvy helps unborn and newborn businesses, by working with entrepreneurs on personal and business development, and on the actions that will give them the greatest chance of building a sustainable enterprise, through concern for the planet, people and profits.

WorkSavvy provides a wealth of useable and real world information regarding small business creation and entrepreneurship. A one-stop-shop recommended highly by this entrepreneur!

Excel Solutions & Spreadsheet Technology: Ever thought of hiring an Excel guru?

Edward Luce, Excel Developer

If not, maybe you should. Why not introduce yourself to Edward Luce, a very experienced Excel Spreadsheet Developer and VBA Programmer? To properly answer that question, first ask yourself these:

  • Do you find yourself doing a lot of repetitious work relying on manual methods that eat up a lot of time, possibly involving copying, pasting and formatting in Excel?
  • Do you use spreadsheets for presentation and display that you would like to give a more professional and attractive look but do not want to invest the time required to become an expert Excel developer?
  • Do you have important data in older spreadsheets or in obsolete applications like Lotus 1,2,3 that need updating and upgrading to a newer database application?
  • Do you have a need for special, dynamic calculations that standard Excel formulas do not routinely perform?

Excel is an incredibly powerful tool in its own right, but in expert hands it's even more than that, it's a nuclear weapon!

If you are presently spending lots of time using Excel and finding the work tedious and repetitious, then you probably realize at some level that there are more efficient methods involving automation and custom (user-defined) formulation. In fact you should realize that you can use VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) to automate just about any repetitive task in Excel if you know how.

If you do not know how and do not want to invest the time it takes to learn how to do-it-yourself, then maybe you should consider hiring someone who does it for a living to professionalize your spreadsheets, giving them a custom design and format, create custom formulas, calculators and software for you, automate those routine tasks and reduce or eliminate needless human errors. In such case maybe Ed is someone you should get in touch with right away before you waste any more of your time!
